Attention Book Blaster families! We have only a few days left! Now is the time to contribute through the invitation from your favorite student or to make a school-wide contribution: https://bit.ly/CaruthersvilleBookBlast You have until Sunday night to contribute.
Thank you to everyone in our community and beyond that have contributed to our Book Blast event! Your support will help students take home as many books as possible, up to 10 each. In our quest to promote literacy and reading, every new book is like gold to be treasured!

Congratulations to our final Treasure Chest winner - Nicholas Moore! The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. It’s not too late to complete your Treasure Map, earn your 3 prizes, and help your child’s teacher earn a shopping spree to purchase books and supplies for the classroom! When 60% of the classroom students register and invite 10+ friends and family members, that teacher will earn a $100 shopping spree. If ALL the classroom students invite 10+ friends and family members, the teacher will earn a $200 shopping spree. Visit http://bookblast.booksarefun.com/Caruthersville63830 to participate!

Caruthersville High School Institutes Athletic Hall of Fame
During the October school board meeting, the Caruthersville Board of Education and Superintendent Mr. Brad Gerling unanimously approved the proposal put forth by the Varsity "C" Club to institute an Athletic Hall of Fame.
"I think an athletics hall of fame is a great idea. There are many great athletes, teams, and coaches that have graced the halls of our school, and this will be a great way to honor them. Giving Tiger alumni an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments while exposing current student-athletes to those who came before them is a win-win for the school and community." - Mr. Jimmy Lyons, Board President
The CHS Varsity "C" Club laid out a draft that included locations, framework, qualifications, and the selection process. The selection process will require a nomination on a provided nomination form to be submitted to the Hall of Fame Committee. Once submitted to the Hall of Fame Committee, they will confirm that the nomination meets the qualifications and vote for the nominee to be inducted.
"I am delighted to be able to recognize the past, present, and future athletes who have contributed to the legacy of Caruthersville athletics. The formation of the Caruthersville High School Athletic Hall of Fame will undoubtedly highlight the long-standing tradition of excellence demonstrated by our outstanding student- athletes." - Mr. Brad Gerling, Superintendent
The Hall of Fame Committee will start accepting nominations on January 14, 2024, and will continue to do so until February 28, 2024. Nomination forms and qualifications will be released before January 14th. The inaugural Hall of Fame Class will be announced during the end-of-the-year sports awards ceremony.
